In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate level students on archaeological best practices, she also aided in the development of summer programs and workshops for at-risk students as a part of the Legacy Outreach program, allowing students from Title 1 schools to participate in archeology activities.
She received her master’s degree from the University of Texas – San Antonio in Anthropology, and bachelor’s in Anthropology from the University of San Diego in San Diego California. Ms. Nichols is an active member of the Council of Texas Archaeologists.
