After a two-year hiatus, the 7th Annual Texas Hydro-Geo Workshop resumed this year on April 1-3, 2022, at Cave Without A Name in Boerne, TX. The Hydro-Geo Workshop is a weekend-long event where hands-on field courses in geology and environmental science are taught by volunteers from industry and various academic organizations. The courses are geared towards college students in addition to early-career professionals working in the geosciences or environmental fields. As annual sponsors and presenters, Raba Kistner was represented this year by Rick Klar, P.G., Lorena Roque Martinez, GIT, and Jordan Rosales. Keeping with tradition, Rick Klar and Ronald Green (Southwest Research Institute) presented a short course module entitled “Developing Scientific and Field Notebooks,” which aims to teach attendees best practices for note-taking and record keeping in support of successful projects. The course is generally well-attended by young environmental professionals in addition to industry practitioners.
